In the winter of 2026, Janna traveled to Barreiro, Portugal to take part in the international residency at PADA Studios.
Over two months, she developed a large suspended sculpture made from hundreds of used bras. The piece took shape into a soft, expansive form inspired by the human nervous system. Created within the residency’s shared studio environment in a collaborative and post-industrial setting, the work reflects Janna’s healing relationship to sorority. It explores how support between women can be both sustaining and tense, holding care, vulnerability, and complexity at once.
